Volunteer and Professional Development Coordinator - Part-Time

Description:  The Volunteer and Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance and general support to HCL Literacy Providers by coordinating Houston Center for Literacy's (HCL) volunteer program as well as a comprehensive training/professional development program. This person will work closely with other members of the Provider Relations team and the Special Events Coordinator.
Salary and Benefits:   28hrs/week, $20.00/hr

Program Coordinator - Part-Time

Description:  The Program Coordinator will assist the Manager of Provider Relations by coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Texas Family Literacy Initiative AmeriCorps program. He or she will assist in administering the administrative and operational functions of the AmeriCorps program.

AmeriCorps Program Member

Description: Texas Family Literacy AmeriCorps is a service program that provides literacy services to adults, children, youth and families in communities in three regions of Texas. Houston Center for Literacy is currently seeking applicants for AmeriCorps members that will be placed in the Greater Houston area. Members commit to the 11-month national service program requiring 1,700 volunteer hours.
Salary and Benefits: 
Members receive a $12,100 stipend annually, health care, valuable training and experience, and a $5,550 education award issued at completion of service to help pay student loans or tuition.
