Demonstration Learning Centers

In addition to the one hundred and fifty literacy sites hosted by the Mayor's Coalition for Literacy, Houston READ Commission offers best literacy practices in three Demonstration Learning Centers, located in areas of Houston where the need is greatest.

These sites are funded exclusively by Texas Education Agency, with Houston Community College System serving as the fiscal and administrative agent. The locations are as follows:
